assignment #20

He just sits, and watches the people in the boxes
Everything he sees he absorbs and adopts it
He mimics and he mocks it
Really hates the box but he can't remember how to stop, it
Uh, so he continues to watch it
Hoping that it'll give him something that he can box with
Or how the locksmith, see the box as, locked in the box
Ain't got the combination to unlock, it
That's why he watch-es, scared to look away
Cause at that moment, it might show him
What to take off the locks with
So he chained himself to the box, took a lock and then he locked it
Swallowed the combination and then forgot, it
As the doctors jot it all down, with they pens and pencils
The same ones that took away his voice
And just left this instrumental, like that

[Chorus: Jonah Matranga + (Lupe)]
And he never lies (he never lies, he never lies, uh)
And he never lies (uh, he never lies, he never lies, no)
And he never lies (he never lies)
Cause he never said anything at all

[Lupe Fiasco]
He just sits, and listens to the people in the boxes
Everything he hears he absorbs and adopts it
Anything not coming out the box he blocks it
See he loves to box and hope they never stop it
Anything the box tell him to do, he does it
Anything it tell him to get, he shops and he cops it
He protects the box, locks it in a box
when he goes to sleep, but he never sleeps
Cause he stays up to watch it, scared to look away
Cause at that moment, it might get stolen
And that's the last of the boxes
So he chained himself to the box, took a lock and then he locked it
Swallowed the combination and then forgot, it
As the doctors jot it all down, with they pens and pencils
The same ones that took away his voice
And just left this instrumental, like that

[Chorus]

[Lupe Fiasco]
(Anything at all..) He never lies
Uh, and you can't tell me just who you are
You buy new clothes just to hide those scars
You built that roof just to hide those stars
Now you can't take it back to the start
And you can't tell me just who you are
You buy new clothes just to hide those scars
You built that roof just to hide those stars
Now you can't take it back to the start

[Chorus]

[Lupe Fiasco]
(Anything at all.. anything at all..)
[repeats and fades as Josh ad libs]

Assignment #18

This image when I visualize it, it tells me a story to always keep your imagination always going. It shows the texture of his glasses and his face. the words i can't really make out what they are, but they show a lot of detail. Elements show line, contour, fading of the image, and the shadow of the picture.
When I look at this photo it gives me an idea of the what this person is and his music. It shows the different lyrics and the different songs he has made. Lines, contour, shades, and fading shows the many different ways you can use this type of art. i am going to use this as an example of what I'm going to use in my art.
This was an interesting use of the persons features. the words in the glasses was a nice feature, but also the neckless and the different shades in the picture also helped. line and texture are used a lot in this picture, but also his shirt and face. I'm going to use this picture for many reasons i can use his style and his different poses.

assignment #17

This is a place that i hold near and dear to my heart, a place that can't be replaced in my mind, when every you say home I think of this place. Yes it maybe only a building, four walls with hallways separating each room, and a backyard that may not mean to much to other people, but to me it means the world and my entire child hood.

Title of my art is "my little piece of happyness". I started making this in photoshop and then progressed it into a illustrator production. it was an 8 by 10 thing. I pick this place because of the history i had for it and the meaning of it to me how it is the best place in the world for me.

When i started to go over the picture i thought of using the same colors that are already in the picture, but that would be to typical so i used different colors for my imagination and creativity. When i decided to move back my home was all i could think about. i used the bright colorful color that i always imagined in my mind of this great placed.

I used color to explain feelings, past experiences, and other reasons.I also used texture to show the history and age of it.

The message was to get you to experience the warm feeling that i get going home everyday and growing up all the time.

I enjoyed the coloring on illustrator the most. i gave at least 85% on this project, i dont really enjoy ilustrator for painting picures so i was still getting used to the idea. i spent the times when we were allowed to work on this project. this is a really good painting on something that is very cool so i conciderate a work of art. It explains what im all about very creative, colorfu,l and open.

This was a very intrustting assignment that did get my intrest rising, but also iit was a way to explain all of our special places that we use to hang or still do hang, that also inspires us or remindes us of our history.

Entry #15- Introduction: Share your story- Brainstorm/Draft

When I think about my home I think of many different emotions, happiness, grief, amazed, hyper, and many other different emotions. Times like when I had my own personal me, myself and I moment walking on the trail past my backyard, staring up at the blue sky walking up the hill throwing rocks into the small swampy pond below. Continuing down the all the way to the dirt path past the tall grass where i sit and stare pass a neighbors fence into the city and watch the Bart train roll past the trees. Good and fun times when me and my friend from next door would play in my backyard  chasing each other through the plant and climbing the trees, but making sure we climb enough so we can jump off and keep going. Times when we trapped the water guns and the buckets of water and starting the biggest water fight in the world getting all the families joining in, water balloon pieces everywhere and let’s just say it was never a boring day. The easy and slow times when all I did was chase the ice cream truck getting him to slow down and try to get a five finger discount on some ice cream. Playing basketball with my family and learning some new moves playing 21 with my uncle, and getting beat one on one with my cousin. Times when I would swing from my old tire swing that hooked perfectly from this tree, getting my friend to get on while I push her into this bush of leaves. To the great times of going on different cool adventures chasing squirrels and other cool looking animals through all sorts of weird places, also making those places cool hangout to just get away from everything. Exciting times when i got my first bike and fell off the first time riding around the court in circles as i see my aunt and grandma smile. The sleepy times i had doing chores outside then raking the leaves into plies to i could sleep in them. Extreme times of running around in the house and dodging couch corners, walls, and people trying to make it to my room as fast as i could. The late nights staying up playing call of duty sneaking food while everyone is asleep. From the good times to the bad times I had a lot of memories in this house and I will never forget them.
